Bookd ("Bookd", "we", "us", "our") is a B2B omnichannel outbound agency headquartered in Cape Town, South Africa, operating for clients in the United Kingdom, United States, Australia, and New Zealand. This policy explains what personal information we collect through bookd.ltd, why we collect it, how we use it, and the choices and rights you have.

2. Information we collect

We collect information you provide directly to us through the forms on this site, and limited technical information collected automatically when you visit.

Contact form

Name, email address, company name, and any message you choose to include.

Careers application form

Name, email address, phone number, years of experience, the role and industries you select, your CV file, and a short voice note you record in your browser as part of the application. The voice recording is used solely to assess your application and is not used for any other purpose.

Name, email address, phone number, and the business stage/type you select.

Booking a call

When you book a discovery call, scheduling is handled by Calendly, a third-party service. Calendly collects your name, email address, and the details needed to schedule and confirm the meeting, under Calendly's own privacy policy.

Automatically collected information

If you accept analytics cookies via the banner on this site, we use Google Analytics (GA4) to collect information such as pages visited, approximate location (derived from IP address), device and browser type, and how you arrived at the site. No analytics cookies are set unless you actively accept them. See Section 4 for details.

3. How we use your information

• To respond to enquiries submitted through the contact form.
• To review and respond to job applications, including evaluating CVs and voice notes submitted through the careers form.
• To send the free playbook PDF you request and, where you've provided contact details, to follow up about Bookd's services.
• To schedule and manage discovery calls booked via Calendly.
• To understand how visitors use our site and improve it, where you've consented to analytics cookies.
• To meet legal and regulatory obligations where applicable.

4. Cookies & analytics

This site uses cookies, including Google Analytics, which only activates after you accept via the cookie banner shown when you first visit. If you decline, no analytics cookies are set. Full details on what cookies we use, why, and how to manage your preferences are in our Cookie Policy.

5. Third-party services we use

We rely on a small number of trusted third-party services to run this site and our business. Each processes personal information under its own privacy policy:

• Netlify — hosts this website and processes form submissions (contact, careers, ebook download).
• Calendly — handles discovery call scheduling on our Book a Call page.
• Google Analytics — provides site analytics, only after you've accepted cookies.
• Google Fonts — serves the typefaces used on this site.

6. Data retention

We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose it was collected:

• Careers applications, including CVs and voice notes, are retained for up to 12 months to allow for consideration against future roles, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
• Contact form and ebook download submissions are retained until you ask us to delete them or unsubscribe from further contact.
• Analytics data collected via Google Analytics is subject to Google's own retention settings.

7. International data transfers

Because we use international service providers (including Netlify, Calendly, and Google), your information may be processed on servers located outside your country of residence, including in the United States. Where required, we rely on these providers' own safeguards for cross-border data transfers.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you're located, you may have rights under applicable data protection law — including South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018, and Australia's Privacy Act 1988 — to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate information.
• Request deletion of your information.
• Object to or restrict certain processing.
• Withdraw consent at any time, including for analytics cookies (see Section 4).

If you're not satisfied with our response, you may have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (for example, South Africa's Information Regulator, the UK's Information Commissioner's Office, or Australia's Office of the Australian Information Commissioner).

9. Children's privacy

This site and our services are directed at businesses and working professionals. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes to our practices or for legal reasons. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
